Year: 2021
At the invitation of the Institute of City and Regional Development, we participated in a tender for the development of a logo and visual identity for the Country Development Concept until 2050. Thanks to winning the competition, we created original graphic designs for a project aimed at strengthening the potential of public administration staff for integrated planning. We developed the logo along with the brand book and visual identity for diverse use in informational and promotional materials.
In the design process, in which our client participated, based on the brief and direct consultations, we created several logo concepts for the project. Together, we chose a simple yet highly suggestive version evoking associations with development, flexibility, and modernity. In the symbol, we used the digits appearing in the project's name, 20 and 50, which, thanks to the use of a symmetrical layout, formed a shape reminiscent of the letter "K". For this futuristic design, we selected balanced typography, minimalist color scheme, and dynamic typography.
As part of the service, a brand book was created containing a detailed description of the KRK 2050 logo, including: description of its placement on various types of backgrounds (in full color, monochromatic, and achromatic versions); color specification in 4 standardization systems (Pantone, HEX, CMYK, and RGB for online publication needs); with examples of the logo's appearance on various backgrounds (patterned and solid, light and dark); determination of the primary and protected area of the mark, scaling dimensions, and in minimal form, taking into account the responsiveness of typographic layouts.
The highly graphic KRK 2050 logo forced the adaptation of minimalist promotional materials to it. In the visual identity book, we developed guidelines, composition rules and layout templates for documents and promotional materials (business cards, flyers, posters, pens, gift bags, lanyards and badges, prints).
The scope of the project work was extensive and required intensive collaboration. Together with the client, we conducted multi-stage consultations with a diverse team. The realization of this project testifies to our excellent skills not only in the area of graphic design services, but also in maintaining high standards of communication at the ministerial level.
