Whether it's a museum, trade show, gallery or any other public space, a well-designed exhibition can educate, entertain and have a lasting impact on its audience. Therefore, it is very important to choose the right content and present it attractively. A proper graphic identity should be clear, concise, visually appealing and, above all, consistent with the content presented.
Since everyone likes to hear a story, why not build your brand image on its story? A compelling story will engage your audience and build new insights into your company. What matters is creativity, consistency and coherence. We propose to create an exhibition that breaks away from clichéd boards filled with boring texts. Our graphic designs can become an interesting and distinctive setting for any narrative.
In order to create an exhibition that engages and creates interest, shapes, typography, colours need to be chosen appropriately. The most important thing is to develop a visual hierarchy that establishes the sequence and guides the viewer's eye through the narrative of the exhibition. In this regard, the thoughtful arrangement of headings, texts and visuals (photographs, illustrations and graphics) plays a key role. Throughout the design process, it is important not to forget where and how the exhibition will be presented and who the audience will be.
Exhibition design is a system of communicating vessels. It is necessary to maintain coherence between all materials: display boards, publications, educational, promotional and marketing elements. When creating the visual identity for an exhibition, it is important to bear in mind the possibility of using it in various media. That is why, as part of our cooperation, we offer the development of templates that will facilitate the implementation of even the most demanding campaigns.

For the Museum of the Origins of the Polish State in Gniezno, we produced the exhibition 'Piast Survival. Man and Forest 1000 years ago". We designed the visual identity for the display boards, educational and promotional materials. We adapted the designs to the existing wall system, supplementing the exhibition with special design elements. In the graphics, we combined green colours, iconic forest motifs and photographs of fauna and flora.
As part of our collaboration with the Second World War Museum in Gdańsk, we designed a board exhibition for the 80th anniversary of the departure of Gen. Władysław Anders' Army from the Soviet Union. We created a visual identity that reflects the nature of the exhibition and visually fits in with the surroundings. We designed large-format boards with original maps, boards for the showcases and advertising materials: invitation, poster, leaflet, graphics for social media.
As part of our work on the board exhibition for the 100th anniversary of the Polish Sea Club for the Second World War Museum in Gdańsk, we adapted the extensive factual material to the rather small format of the boards. We chose a graphic board layout associated with sailing. We used a geometric pattern and clear lettering, which provided the perfect setting for the monochrome photographs. We also designed the invitation, posters and social media graphics.
This is an outdoor exhibition commissioned by the Second World War Museum, presenting a spontaneous photo-reportage of the appearance of the streets of the Ukrainian capital in the spring of 2022. Our task was to design a visual identity that would not compete with the subject matter, but would provide an aesthetic and logical framework for it. As part of the assignment, we made a selection of factual material, designed the exhibition and promotional materials.
100 Years - How Freedom was Organised is a series of exhibitions that was realised on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of freedom, celebrated in 2018. We designed the visual identity and boards dedicated to selected historical issues. We chose a font that clearly presented the content, referring stylistically to the graphics used. We used photographs, documents and press reprints to illustrate the texts.
The graphic designs of the exhibitions organised as part of the Cultural Park events initiated by the Office of the Municipal Conservator of Monuments in Poznan, were part of the communication strategy for the entire project that we had prepared. YOS Studio's task was to conduct an information and promotional campaign concerning the changes taking place in the city's aesthetics. As part of the assignment, we designed, among other things, graphics for social media, information materials and advertising gadgets.
"The way the city looks" is an exhibition we made for the ICHOT Poznań Gate. We developed the visual identity, arrangement and special installations. We took care of the consistency of the substantive, graphic, iconographic and photographic layers by using a geometric module and linear layout of the identification. To promote the event, we prepared posters and invitations enriched with original illustrations. These materials were complemented by online banners and graphics.
Mobile Museum is an original idea for moving an exhibition outside the building of an institution. For the Museum of the Origins of the Polish State in Gniezno, we proposed a multi-element mobile exhibition system that allows for quick installation, multiple use and the possibility of enriching it with new modules. An important element of the work on the project was to make the texts graphically more attractive, making them readable for young and older history enthusiasts.
The history of the city in shop windows, in local shops and institutions, on the streets, on the Internet and in social media? For such an extensive project popularising the history of Gniezno, we developed a full visual identity including a logotype. It fitted in with the institution's visual strategy, while at the same time creating an original graphic sign easily adaptable to various media.
We provided comprehensive graphic design services for an exhibition recounting the history of archaeological research in Gniezno. In addition to the visual identification of the exhibition (design of a logotype, boards, signatures), we made designs of large-format boards with figures of archaeologists. We also took care of the arrangement of the exhibition and designed an educational area dedicated to archaeology itself - a science that has little in common with Indiana Jones.
We developed the visual identity and infographics for the exhibition LETS TALK? presented at the 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale. For an issue that addresses the recycling of waste and litter, we selected simple typefaces and infographics. Thanks to this visual identity, it was possible to present a wide range of information and present it in a way that was interesting for the viewer. All content was also designed in English.
