Poznań Food Days

Poznań Food Days - a five-day culinary event presenting the richness and variety of flavors of cuisines from around the world. After analyzing often used designs of gastronomic marketing materials we noticed that they are usually overloaded with photos. That is why the project included abstract icons referring to cooking instead of photos. The minimalist geometric forms allowed Poznań Food Days to stand out visually among other standard designs of such events.
The graphics were based on clean, saturated, bright colors bringing to mind summertime and kitchen. The graphics also referred to the city's visual identity of Poznań by using a blue-colored star-shaped sign. Individual thematic events were also marked by pictograms.
Despite the relatively short time that we had for preparing the design, it was possible to create a universal pattern, which could be used in numerous ways. Because of the versatility of the design, it was possible to produce a large number of various gadgets such as leaflets, posters, a program, T-shirts, bags, and badges.
We created clear and easy-to-read posters for outdoor promotion. We also produced an advertising spot used for the online promotion of the event and animated commercial that was played before movie screenings at the cinema of ZAMEK Culture Centre in Poznań.
