CZYTATY
Client: The Raczyński Library in Poznań
Our work: visual identity, a poster, an animated poster, a leaflet, pins, a booklet, stickers, facebook
Time frame: 2016-2019
YOS Studio had the pleasure of working on a series of events promoting reading to children organized by the Raczyński Library in Poznań. Reading meetings were dedicated not only, to the youngest ones, but also to their parents - especially fathers
We designed a universal logotype for the CZYTATY events. It consisted of letters arranged in a clear inscription - the name of a series of events organized by the Library. The main idea behind the design of vector visual identity was the subject of the book and the paper cutting aesthetics friendly to the young viewer.
The main product of our outdoor activities were posters visually connected with a book motif. The motif became an inspiration for the characters of a father-book and a child-book, which referred to the target group of potential attendants of the meetings. The book-looking father and son appeared on the posters. We created 15 posters that served the role of outdoor promotion.
We also designed promotional materials and gadgets. We found the transparent and attractive design of the visual identity useful in a variety of forms, such as stickers, bags, and badges with images of reading animals.
The materials generated by our Studio met the client's expectations. Therefore, we cooperated with the Raczyński Library in Poznań and worked together on the second edition the of events called CZYTATY 2.
In the second edition of CZYTATY, the same logotype was used. This time, we decided to change the book's theme. Due to the new theme- fairy tales, we replaced flat vector graphics with more spatial compositions, more adequately reflecting the nature of new set of texts that was read during the events. The graphics were divided into four categories: Polish fairy tales, fairy tales from all around the world, fairy tale classics and new fairy tales. Each thematic group was assigned a separate color, which significantly facilitated the readability of the division. There were 8 posters presenting motifs characteristic of specific fairy tales.
To further promote the Library of Events series, YOS Studio designed a unique Reader Kit: a booklet and collectible stickers. During the meetings, children and adults collected individual stickers and placed them in appropriate places on the booklet. Graphics on the stickers presented such figures as Hansel and Gretel or Harry Potter.
